In response to Fire Safety Month (October) and National Fire Prevention Day (October 4), Phuoc Thanh Construction Corporation collaborated with the Fire & Rescue Police Division – Zone 1 to organize a Firefighting and Rescue Drill (PCCC & CNCH) at the company’s headquarters.

🔹 Objectives and Simulated Scenario

The drill aimed to enhance employees’ awareness and response capability in fire prevention and emergency situations, while ensuring full compliance with legal regulations on occupational fire safety within construction enterprises.

According to the simulated scenario, at 10:00 AM on October 18, an electrical short circuit caused a fire in the office area on the 2nd floor, with smoke and toxic gas spreading rapidly, threatening personnel safety. Upon automatic alarm activation, the on-site Firefighting Team promptly executed the following actions:

• Cut off the electrical power in the affected area;
• Utilized portable fire extinguishers for initial suppression;
• Guided all staff to evacuate safely;
• Reported the incident through the emergency hotline 114.

Shortly after, the Fire & Rescue Police Division – Zone 1 arrived on site, coordinating with the internal firefighting team to extinguish the fire, perform rescue and personnel accountability checks, ensuring absolute safety for all employees.

🔹 Main Activities of the Drill

• Simulated fire outbreak on the 2nd floor;
• Conducted evacuation and first aid for a mock injured person during evacuation;
• Coordinated efforts between Phuoc Thanh’s Firefighting Team and the Fire & Rescue Police to control and extinguish the fire;
• Declared drill completion and held a review meeting for evaluation.

The drill was conducted professionally, seriously, and effectively, helping to:

• Improve awareness and hands-on skills in fire prevention and emergency response;
• Enhance coordination and readiness among employees;
• Assess the operational reliability of the existing fire safety system;
• Ensure a safe and compliant working environment under fire safety regulations.
