PHUOC THANH CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION SIGNS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH HO CHI MINH CITY UNIVERSITY OF TRANSPORT
04/23/2026
On the morning of 23 April 2026, the Board of Management of Phuoc Thanh Construction Corporation formally welcomed the delegation from Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport, led by Distinguished Teacher, PhD Le Van Vang – Vice Rector.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport is a reputable institution in the field of transport and construction engineering in Southern Vietnam, with over 25 years of establishment and development. Its programmes in Civil Engineering and Construction Economics have consistently provided high-quality human resources for civil, industrial, and transport infrastructure projects.
During the meeting, the two parties officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), in which the “Enterprise Semester” programme was identified as a key initiative to bridge academic training with real-world construction practices.
Under this programme, final-year students will undertake a full semester working directly at Phuoc Thanh, receiving hands-on training and practical exposure at both office and construction site levels. The curriculum is aligned with the operations of a general contractor, covering key disciplines such as design (architecture, structural engineering, and MEP works), quantity surveying, QA/QC (quality management), HSE (health, safety and environment), BIM, shop drawings, and site supervision.
The programme is structured through a clear and consistent pathway—from onboarding and training to practical deployment and competency assessment—enabling students to:
  • Gain direct exposure to real working environments
  • Develop professional skills and execution-oriented thinking
  • Identify suitable career paths aligned with individual capabilities
  • Access opportunities for full-time employment upon completion
Within the framework of this partnership, both parties also agreed to collaborate comprehensively in areas including human resource development, graduate recruitment, research and technology transfer, as well as communications.
This cooperation marks not only expanded career opportunities for students but also contributes to establishing a practice-oriented training model, fostering sustainable development between academia and industry.
